We are very pleased to welcome Dr Simone Dowling who has joined the BYS Medical Clinic team!
Simone brings particular interests in women’s and children’s health. She has recent experience specialising in patients with chronic complex needs, including working with refugees and migrants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
She has also specialised in women’s sexual and reproductive health while working at TRUE (previously Family Planning Qld). As part of her role she supervised GPs and GP registrars undertaking the Sexual Health and Family Planning Diploma. Simone has public health research experience amongst the Tibetan community in exile in Dharamsala, India. Additionally, she has been a part of international community development work in Indonesia and Costa Rica.
Dr Simone Dowling will be available Thursdays between 10.00am and 2.00pm for appointments, commencing Thursday 8 November at the Fortitude Valley Hub.
Dr Helen Dettori will continue in the BYS Medical Clinic but will see patients on Monday afternoons from 12 November.
